Assistance for Small Businesses & Self-Employed

Local

Washington State leaders are trying to help small businesses that are affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). You can visit the Washington State Commerce website to get more information.

The SBA (Small Business Administration) is also offering assistance with low interest loans to qualified business. You can research the options here: https://www.sba.gov/page/coronavirus-covid-19-small-business-guidance-loan-resources

Unfortunately, at the current time there is no assistance for self-employed or independent contractors. If FEMA and the Federal government approves it, there may be a solution for us through disaster assistance. Rick Larsen talked about this in his virtual town hall meeting. Send a message to him, your congressman or local politicians and urge them to fight for this. See the website for further details as it (hopefully) becomes available: https://www.disasterassistance.gov

UPDATE! You can now apply for Disaster Assistance! Apply here: https://covid19relief.sba.gov/#/

Find your congressman here: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative

For workers that contribute to unemployment there is a chart that can help you navigate what you qualify for. Visit the website for further details: https://esd.wa.gov/newsroom/covid-19

Stay safe out there! And if there is anything we can do to help you during this time please let us know.
